Opiate abuse, K2, and Alcoholism are on the rise in our nation’s capital. There should be more Drug/Substance Abuse programs developed to assist. Within each program, a Physician can only have a limited amount of patients to monitor. For the substance programs we do have, people from other States come to Washington, DC to receive help for their addictions. What about the Washingtonians who have to wait on a list for a “limited” program?? Good Hope Institute is one of 2 substance abuse programs that are available, located in Ward 8! So many people loiter within the entire corridor of Good Hope Road (some laid out on side walks or simply wondering the streets). This is a visual on how bad the drug epidemic has become.
